The Rough Writer is an open forum that the students of Yavapai College publish. The Rough Writer staff invites members of the Yavapai College student body, staff, faculty, administration and Governing Board to submit items for publication. Columns and letters are the opinion of the writers and not necessarily that of The Rough Writer or Yavapai College.

• All submissions, including letters, must include a name and telephone number for verification purposes, or they will not be published.
• Letters should not exceed 250 words in length for best chance of publication. The Rough Writer will not publish letters as anonymous or with pseudonyms.
• Submissions become property of The Rough Writer and will be considered on a basis of news value and timeliness.
• The Rough Writer reserves the right to not publish submissions because of content or lack of space.
